Meet jewelry designer Timothy Szlyk, creator of the beautiful Thorin & Co. collection. Tim has been creating costume jewelry for for Thorin & Co. since 1985 and his fascination with jewelry has been with him all his life, from a child's treasure chest to his collection today.

Tim holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry and Art History from Bates College and has trained at the Portland School of Art in Gold and Silversmithing. In 1985 Tim created his own company, Thorin & Co. Throughout Tim's career, he has also created collections for various jewelry companies, including Camro-Rosecraft™, Sir Richard-Nu-Style™, Felicity™, and Tiara Enterprise™.

During the early '90s, Tim developed a high-end jewelry line called Marie Ferra', which was shown at Topper & Lowell™ and Fragments™, as well as carried by such esteemed stores as Bergdorf Goodman™, Henri Bendel™, Barneys NY™, Nieman Marcus™, Macy's™, and Jacobson™. Tim's jewelry has been featured in many magazines including Vogue™, Harper's Bazaar™, Elle™, Town & Country™ Los Angeles Times Fashion Magazine and The New York Times Fashion Magazine™.

Timothy is concentrating his creativity exclusively on Thorin & Co. which produces moderate and high-end signed, numbered, limited-edition, and one-of-a-kind specialty pieces. Tim focuses on design quality and materials, creating special pieces which are unique in the world.

Although Tim loves to focus on the one-of-a-kind specialty pieces, he created a line of signed and numbered jewelry pieces marketed to retailers. Tim's collections are shown here on this site or by appointment.
